This weekend was COLD.
Like really cold, like so cold it took me hours to warm up after my last outdoor shoot, but I regret none of it. Allie & CJ were funny, warm, silly, stylish, witty, and even have great taste in beer. They are my kind of people.
Check out a few from our session, prior to all of our noses and other bits freezing off. 🙂
CJ & Allie thanks again for meeting up, braving the cold and traffic and being so fun to capture. I had a great time. I am really, really looking forward to working with you all this summer when the weather is warmer. 🙂

It is always nice to get “love notes” from clients. I had to share this one, it just made me all glow-ey…

They always say don’t mix family and business, and honestly I try really hard not to. But when my oh so wonderful sister in law and dear friend got engaged to an awesome dude I knew I just HAD to do their engagement photos.
Sierra and John are two of the kindest, funniest, and most wonderful people I know. And I am not just saying that because they know where I live and have incriminating photos of me. I really do mean it. I could not be happier for these two. I look forward to their wedding next summer, and I can not wait to be a real life wedding guest!
Here are a handful of images from our session together a few weeks ago on the beach.
S&J congrats again on your engagement! I love you both.

Just recently I posted how a thank you card made my day. It really does, I am a mushy sentimental person I admit it. 😉 But you know what is even better thank a thank you? A referral from a happy client. A few months back I happened to photograph the most darling little boy in Seattle. After sharing his photos his mama was kind enough to recommend me to a friend of hers who was recently engaged. After talking online, then meeting with Jessica and Rich I knew they were my speed. They are sweet, kind, a bit goofy, and a whole lot in love. We met up recently for some fall engagement photos. They wanted to celebrate their engagement at some classic Portland downtown spots. You see Rich moved all the way up to Portland to be with his lady love, so it was important we celebrate their hometown. They were so fun to capture with my camera.
Here are a few of my favorites…
Jessica & Rich thanks so much for meeting up with me, and chancing the weather! It turned out to be a beautiful morning and a great time. I had so much fun getting to know you both better. I should be done with the whole set very soon. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love folks!
