The S family 2015

How many times and ways can I say I adore the S family.

I have been photographing these guys for years, from a curly haired baby girl, two a new baby, and then a joyous family.

I have watched these guys go from a darling house in the city, to a super cool place in the country. I have photographed them bundled up in the winter, and on hot summer evenings.

Each time is special, wonderful and full of smiles.

Our last session was no different, we spent our evening picking black berries, sneaking over to the neighbors orchard, and giggling about kindergarten. It was my pleasure to capture these guys once again.

Here are my favs:

The S boys are back and even more charming

I didn’t think it was possible, but these boys get more and more charming each year. Every two years these guys have me into their home to capture the boys as they are, in their element. This year was particularly special as they will be moving on to a new home soon. Over the last two years the little guys got bigger, smarter, and even more charming.

It really was fun to see these guys, catch up, and point me camera their way. 🙂

Here are a handful of my favorites…

Family Photos in the Dundee Hills

The J family “bought me” at an auction that is near and dear to my heart. I donate to many auctions in the Metro area, but this one was specifically to raise money for my daughter’s school. I volunteer at this one, and help run the event. It is always a fun night! The only part of the night I find myself worried about really, is when people are bidding on my on services. It is awkward, watching people look at my work and write down a value. I always find my self cringing, but this particular year I was pretty excited about the family that “bought me”.

The photo package was purchased by the J family, and I was super excited to capture them.  It took us a while to work around their busy schedules, but I am so glad we finally made it happen. This family was lovely to work with, and has three of the most charming, best behaved and beautiful children I have had the pleasure to point a camera at. 🙂

Four is Fun!

I am a big fan of 4 year olds. Having one my self, I know they can be fun, or little darling pains. I know they can cutely smile their way out of almost anything. I know they can be sneaky and smart. And I love every second of it. Four is fun, just old enough to reason with, but still young enough to have that whole magical little kid thing going. It is the perfect age for Christmas morning, magical stories and silly walks in the sun.

I recently got to hang out with a darling family, who happens to have just that kind of 4 year old. We had SO MUCH FUN during our session. I had a great time getting to know all these guys, but little Mr. L stole my heart a little bit.

Here are my favorites from our session together.

cutest little book worm in the world

It was just a few short years ago a darling little newborn session graced this little blog. I remember little Maxwell being adorable, tiny, and highly opinionated. He is still adorable, has a pretty strong opinion and has grown into a charming little dude. We had a great time catching up on books, costumes and good vs yucky doughnut toppings.

Here are some of my favorites from our session together.
