just one from tonight’s family farm engagement session. I think my new favorite thing is shooting in stunning rows of hops. 🙂

I have done a lot of couples sessions in my time as a photographer.
I have gone to the beach, to the mountains, to coffee shops, and breweries, even a few wineries and sculpture parks.
But never, have I ever, shot in a grocery store.
But just a few short weeks ago, I did. And it was AWESOME.
When talking about “special” spots to this lovely couple, they laughingly admitted they spent their first couple dates grocery shopping. When your lives are busy with kids, jobs, and other things, you sometimes take the time you can get with each-other. I totally get that. Just last week I spent my “date night” with my husband at IKEA. If you really love someone, and love spending time with them, the location is very secondary.
So, off to the grocery store we went. We had a great time laughing, dancing, and freaking out the other customers. 😉
Enjoy the peek!
Andrea & Scott, you guys win, just in all things fun, loving, and silly, you win. I can not wait for your wedding this weekend!
I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek! I will have the whole set to you shortly. For now, if you like I would love to throw down a blog contest. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in an 11×14 mounted wall print on the house. You know you want it. 🙂

Tammy and Hung make me laugh, for real. I spent more time giggle like a kid at this session than any other in recent memory. These guys are smart, funny and have so much fun together. Each couple has their own way, their own connection, and I try my hardest to capture it during our sessions together. With Tammy and Hung it was easy to see the love they have for each-other, they show it in laughter and smiles.
Here are a few from our session together.
Tammy & Hung thanks for meeting up with me and being so fun to capture! I had a great time pointing a camera at you guys. I can not wait for your big day in just a few short weeks!
For now I would love to offer you a blog contest, if you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house.

Being asked to photograph someone’s wedding is a big deal. It is allot of trust my clients put in me, and I and always honored to capture such an important day in someone’s life.
That said asking someone to care for your child is an even bigger trust situation. About two years ago I hired the lovely folks below to care and teach my baby boy, so I was touched and excited when they decided to hire me to photograph their wedding. I already adored them, but working with them this way takes it to a whole new level. I was touched that they trusted me, I mean let’s be honest they often see my in grungy sweats and bed head in the morning at school drop off. 😉
It was so fun going out to capture engagement photos with these two. We tromped around the adorable little town of St. Paul, talked about the crazy kiddos in our lives, and made some pretty photos.
Here are a few of my favs:
