WOW.
2015 was filled with love, new life, amazing stories and beautiful moments. I was really moved by all the special moments I got to capture this year, and all the people I got to meet.
I just want to say THANK YOU!
Here is a slideshow of just a few of my favorite images from the year.
I also want to say a HUGE thank you to those of you who recommended me to your friends and family. The majority of my business is a direct result of personal referral, so I could not do what I love with out you! Thank you all who get my name out there. 🙂
I hope to see you all, and even more new faces in 2016!

Erica & Jered are freaking awesome…
When I chat with folks about engagement or “pre-wedding” photos, most people are hesitant. They see them as silly, or something to be skipped. I get it, I do. I personally hate being in-front of the camera and wield one for a living. But as I have said many time I encourage all of my couples to do them if only to get used to being in-front of the camera. These sessions help get that awkwardness out of the way, so when the wedding rolls around we are all on the same page.
One thing I tell all my clients is that these images are 100% bonus. Have fun with them! We can do them formal, traditional, or completely off the wall. We can pick a location special to you, like the site of your first date. We can shoot on a mountain top, beach, woods or even at home. What ever strikes your fancy. I always encourage people to be creative.
This summer many have gone creative, (remember the grocery store!) but Erica & Jered win. They took creative, and smashed a pie into it’s face, literally…
Take a look…
Check out their puppy June, such a sweet baby.
“Hey Erica, do something with your foot to change positions…” Yeah she cracks me up.
OK HERE, here is where things get creative.
Jered & Erica: “hey emily we are thinking of doing a food fight during our session, is that cool”
Me: “Uhm heck yeah!”
For reals this was the most fun thing I have shot all summer…
Erica & Jered THANK YOU, for being so fun, so creative, and just so cool to capture. You are setting the bar high friends. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. I will have the whole set done shortly. For now I would love to throw down a blog post challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some comment love folks…

Morgan & Steven spend a lot of time at his families adorable cottage in Manzaneta, OR so when we started talking about spots for the engagement session that seemed to be the place. I am so glad I made the trek up to see them, they place is darling, and the coastline is beautiful. I have not spent a whole lot of time in Manzaneta, but the beach there is beautiful. Lots of distinctive geological elements you don’t see on every beach, lots of rocks and large wooden forts, it is such a cool spot.
We had a great time talking about small towns on the coast, weddings, and crazy dogs.
here are a few of my favorites…
Morgan & Steven, thanks for having me out to your cabin! I had a great time with you two, and meeting your neurotic and sweet dog. 🙂 I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. I will have the whole set ready for you very soon!

When I first started talking to Sara about engagement photos she was very specific about what she wanted. She wanted to do their engagement session on her fiance’s family farm. But not just any time this summer, specifically when the hops were fat and greet, right before harvest. As anyone familiar with agriculture knows sometimes that is a moving target, for some reason plants do not like to take orders. 😉
Well the season came, and we scheduled our session, we came out to the farm and Sara did it! She perfectly planned out a stunning location, brought her A game with attire, and even a bonus cute puppy. We had a great time chatting, talking hops, and making some pretty photos.
Take a gander at some of my favorites…
Sara and Brandon thank you for having me out to your incredibly beautiful farm. I had a great time chatting with you guys, walking the grounds and learning about hops. It was so cool! I hope you all enjoyed the sneak peek! I will have the whole set ready very soon. For now, if you like, you can take my blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 print on the house.
so leave some love folks!
