auntie em loves you

I have taken photos of my little sister many, many times. In a lot of ways she was my very first subject. 🙂

This time was special, it was not just of her, but of her family. Just a few weeks ago my baby sister became a mother. Crazy, but totally natural. Little miss Amelia Grace is a very lucky girl to have 2 amazingly wonderful, loving and kind hearted parents. It was my pleasure to capture their first family photos, and spend a little solo time with my brand new baby niece.

Kate, Silas & Amelia I love you all to bits. Congratulations on your growing family. 🙂

Adorable Aryana Sofia!

I know I say it all the time, but the wedding community is full of so many amazingly lovely people. Perhaps it is because our job involves working with a celebration of love? What ever it is, I love my colleagues. I especially love my colleagues when they refer me to their clients, but it is the ultimate honor when they  trust me enough to photograph their own families. I captured Katy, a local wedding planner with Bridal Bliss and her adorable belly not too long ago. It was a fun session, so when she asked me to come back and photograph her newborn daughter I was super excited. While little Aryana got settled down we had fun chatting about all things Portland wedding, mothering 2 little ones, and much more.  My job is pretty awesome. 🙂

Here are a few of my favorites from our session…

Katy thanks again for trusting me to capture your little lady. She was an absolute doll! We will get a few of the kids together once little lady gets a bit bigger. 😉 I had a great time hanging out with you, and thank your cousin again for hosting us in her beautiful home! More images soon I promise. 🙂

such a princess…

Sweet & beautiful Lucy Mae was so good for me. I first heard about this little princess when her auntie called me wanting to set up a gift certificate for her Mama’s baby shower. Even before she was born Miss Lucy had people fawning over her, and excited to see her sweet face. While talking to her aunt and Mama prior to our session I knew this would be a good one. We chatted about pink tutus & chubby babies, I was excited to meet her too by the end. So when the day came to finally set eyes & camera lens on the little princess we all had high hopes. Lovely Lucy did not disappoint. She was so good for me! Sleepy, curly, and oh the cute chubby cheeks! She was even good and humored Daddy & his favorite football team for a few shots.

Here are a few of my many, many favorites..

Ashley & Josh thanks again for having me into your home and for trusting me to capture your darling girl. She was just perfect. I hope you are enjoying your little lady, and getting some sleep these days! I will have your whole set for you view soon. For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post, I will throw in a darling set of brag books. So leave some love people!

Brinn is One!

How has it been a year since I first captured darling baby Brin? Her newborn session was one of my favorite last year, and here she is a darling, giggling, toddler! Just look at those curls, and those stunning blue eyes! Gah she is so cute it is just too much. I had a great time playing with her and Grandma & Grandpa’s farm in the Banks Hills. Warm day, nice people, cute baby, I really have the  best job ever.

Here are a few of my favorites so far…

Tasha thank you again for trusting me to capture Brin’s first year. She is just darling, and it has been great working with your entire family.  I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. I will have the whole gallery for you here soon!
