Evan + Devin = Love

Evan, Devin and I have been talking for quite a while not about their October commitment ceremony at the beautiful Portland Art Museum. I love my job, talking about flowers, food & reception details over wine and cheese with fabulous clients, it just does not get much better! I am so looking forward to their fall event, it is going to be amazing!

So in preparation for the big day we went out a few weeks ago and did some engagement photos. We wanted to get an outdoors feel as the ceremony portraits will be quite urban. We headed out to Champogne State Park on a beautiufl early summer evening. I even got to play with the furry family members. šŸ™‚

Hey Blog Friends!

I am still catching up from my whirlwind travels last week. I was in Chicago for an engagement session, it was AMAZING! Even with a delayed trip home due to crazy flight schedules I had a wonderful time. Here is just one from my trip.

from puddle jumping to wedding planning: April & Brian Love

A few months back on a rainy dark day April called me up to ask about wedding photography. I asked her a little about her self and her fiance, once she started talking I instantly knew I wanted to shoot their wedding. She was so warm, sweet and clearly in love with a wonderful man. She told me about how they met, how they fell in love and how excited she was for her July wedding. Even on a cold rainy day, she completely warmed my heart with her sweet words. When we met a few days later at a bridal fair she and her mother completely charmed me again. Clearly I am excited for this wedding!

So last week on the warmest and sunniest day of the year so far we met up for some fun engagement photos. We started at a little pub them spent their second date at, we also visited the site of a very special puddle jump. As April tells it she knew after jumping over that puddle into Brianā€™s arms he was the one. šŸ™‚ It was also the spot of their engagement so we just had to visit! Oh man I love a good romantic story! We laughed, talked about beer & Broadway musicals. In short it was a great time! Here are a few of my favorites so far:

Natalie + Kevin = Love

Natalie started talking seems like years ago about her wedding. We spoke via email about everything from theme to digital file sizes. If my memory is correct she first contacted me when I was newly home from having my little boy. After a few months of emailing and phone calls we set up the first engagement session, that was shortly canceled due to a small monsoon. After a few failed attempts we finally met up a few weeks ago for the session. I am SO glad we waited, we scored some amazing weather this time around! Natalie and Kevin were amazingly fun to hang out with as well. We had a great time laughing, getting to know each other, and making some fun images. Natalie gets all the credit for scoping out some cool locations in deep NW Portland.
