Krystal + Matthew = Love

Krystal & Matt are my kind of couple. Up for anything, always laughing, and never taking them selves too seriously. When we talked about an engagement session Krystal said she wanted something downtown, but still fun and warm. We ran around the north end of Portland downtown, hopping into some of our favorite spots and catching the beautiful sunset. After an evening with I am so excited to capture their wedding in just a few weeks time!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Krystal & Matt thanks again for meeting me downtown. I really loved getting to know the two of you more! I will have the whole set up shortly. 🙂 As new clients I would also love to throw down a comment challenge. If you can get 30 comments on this little blog post I will throw in a 11×14 on the house. I love the photos of you at the Ace Hotel and Stumptown Coffee shop! It reminds me of what a great time I had visiting you last time I was in Portland. Both of you were so sweet to show my friend and I around town. I can’t wait to see you both very soon!

Love in Chicago

Meet Troy & Crystal. They are smart, funny and know how to show a small town girl around the beautiful city of Chicago. These two love birds will be getting married next month in the Oregon wine country and it will be my pleasure to capture it. While planning their wedding from Chicago they told me they wanted to use their city as the backdrop for their engagement photos. A few planning emails and phone calls later I was on an airplane to Chicago. I had a great time getting to know their city, the beautiful waterfront, their neighborhood and most of all their favorite BBQ joint. Oh and we made a few fun photos of Crystal & Troy while we were at it.

It was really, really hard to narrow these images down for this sneak peek, but here are a few:

A big thanks again for the cultural center building, and smoke daddy bbq for letting us shoot inside! Chicago was welcoming and hospitable in every way. Troy & Crystal you two were wonderful to work with, again it was my pleasure to point my camera your direction. I can not wait to capture your wedding next month in my neighborhood. Rachelle + Courtney = Love

Rachelle emailed me a while back to inquire about engagement photos. You see her her girlfriend had just proposed and they were over the moon excited to celebrate. After chatting via email for a while I could tell I was going to like these two, they were sweet, funny and over the top in LOVE. I can not ask for more, so when they showed up on a blustery rainy morning with beautiful smiles on their faces, I could not help but smile too. You see we had planned on shooting outside while they were in Portland, but due to weather and time constraints we headed inside of my studio building. The local businesses on the main floor were awesome enough to let us crash their spaces as well. A HUGE thank you to Water Ave Coffee & Bunk Bar for being so awesome. It really turned out to be a great session despite the crappy weather! Courtney and Rachelle were wonderful and so adorable to put in front of the camera.

Here are a few of my favorites so far:
