worth it…

I spent my last Saturday afternoon standing in the rain, getting drenched and freezing my tush off…

but OMG it was totally worth it to get this….

More from this super fun surprise engagement I was hired to capture very soon. 🙂

another feature on Bow Ties & Bliss!

How fun was it to open my inbox and discover we have another feature up on Bowe Ties & Bliss today! You can see my blog and more images from the session here too.

Such a lovely start to a cold winter day, to see some fun images from a warm autumn session. I just loved working with Danielle & Rob, and wish them all the best on their NY wedding later this year! I am actually working on their guest book this week too. 🙂

hope you are all staying warm today!

2011 best of emily g photography

As always I have been working on a year end post. It has taken a few days as my NYE was spent capturing an amazing wedding, and the following day was spent recouping & catching up on sleep & email.

So today it was time to take a look back on 2011. It was such an amazing year. So many people came in front of my lens, and it really was my honor to capture so many weddings, couples, babies and families. Plus quite a few head-shots, non-profit events and even a bridal show. We  added in a studio space early in the year, and even changed logos and looks this year.

It really was just a fantastic year. I want to thank each and every one of you for your love ans support for emily g photography. This business really is an extension of my self and my family, and all of you friends, family and clients help me do what I love. THANK YOU!

Here are my favorites for 2011. I tried to pull at least one photo from each session. I hope I did not miss anyone!

here’s to an even better 2012!

Allison + Erin = Love

Allison and Erin are so fun to work with. We met a few weeks back on a cold misty morning for their engagement session. We picked the train station due to it’s significance to the couple and had a great time. Erin is in the Navy and spends lots of time communing back and forth to Portland via train to visit a certain pretty lady. The train station is significant because it means welcome home and travel safe in so many ways. These two are starting a beautiful life together, and it only seemed fitting we captured a big part of that journey with the train station as our backdrop. 🙂

Like I said these two were so fun to work with. Erin’s eye brows have some truly amazing character no doubt, but beyond that their love is so clear and honest it was really my honor to capture it. I am SO looking forward to capturing their wedding this next September.

On to the photos right?!

Allison & Erin thanks again for braving the cold to come out and meet me. I just loved spending time with the two of you, and getting to know you both better. I am so looking forward to pointing my big camera at your wedding. 🙂 As new clients I would of course love to offer you a blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in an 11×14 on the house! So leave some love people.

the longest engagment post in all of emily g history..

I have been dying to show you all the rest of Amy & Greg’s engagement session for some time now. The night was warm, beautiful and the light was perfect. Our location was rustic and endlessly inspiring. My lovely couple Amy & Greg are not only sweet hearts, but incredibly good looking and stylish. Really, a photographer’s dream. I also love this session as the theme was special to the couple. These two will be having a over the top fabulous new years wedding, but wanted something more rustic for their engagement photos. I think we captured the rustic style they were looking for, plus had a great time.

Here are a few, ha ok MANY of my favorites from our session:

Amy & Greg thanks again for coming out to meet me in the sticks, and being up for anything!  I had such a fun time working with you two, I can not wait to capture your wedding. I have so many more to show you, the gallery will be done shortly! I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek. And of course like all my new clients I would love to throw down a blog challenge for you. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in a 11×14 wall mount on the house! So leave some love people!
