thank you for an amazing 2012!

Tonight I finished my last wedding of 2012 (and it was an amazing one!) and could not help but reflect on what an awesome year it has been. I want to really thank all of you who made 2012 such an amazing year for emily g photography! For now I am going to say thank you, unplug & head to the Oregon Coast with friends and family for a few days off. If you need me I will be back to get things going with new energy in 2013!(Thursday Jan 3rd to be more specific)

Here are a few of the many, many, many images I captured in 2012 that still make me smile…

Gina + Chris = Love

Gina & Chris are troopers. As most of you know Oregon ended up with quite a warm fall this year. Most of September & October were unseasonably warm and dry. So while Gina & I were planing their engagement session we had that in mind. I had a mild fall day imagined, with just a hint of sunshine. Well we did end up with clean skies, and a hind of sunshine, but there was nothing mild about the day. We ended up out and about in near freezing conditions, but Gina & Chris were troopers! No complaining at all, and Gina even sported a cute little sun dress! We had a great time laughing about the weather, wedding planning, and creepy 70’s wall art. In short it was a fun afternoon, even if I did have to break out my gloves for the first time in the season. 😉

Here are a few of my many favorites…

Gina & Chris thanks again for being up for anything! I had a great time with you two, and I am so looking forward to the wedding. Lets hope for a tad warmer weather. 😉 I am almost done with the whole set! For now I would love to offer you a bit of a blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post, I will throw in a 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love people!

Molly & Geoff are flipping awesome!

for reals, these people are awesome…

His idea: their vintage scooters in front of a bad-ass local mural… love it

Her idea: super cool local vintage video game arcade… yeah totally love it

Bonus idea: freakishly stunning day and the fall leaves across the street… yeah did that too

It is a huge understatement when I say I love this couple, and CAN NOT WAIT for their wedding next summer.

For real Molly & Geoff thanks so much for dragging my butt down to Eugene and sharing your hood with me. I had a blast! I can not wait for your wedding next summer, and to get the chance to capture you two once again. I should be done with the whole set very soon, for now I would love to offer you a blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love people, this was a fun one!

Kalya + Johnny = Love

When I first met with Kayla & Johnny I asked them how they met. Kayla immediately told me the story of “The cute guy with the red cleats”. I loved it! It seemed only fitting to celebrate the love that soccer brought together, by starting their engagement session at the Portland Timbers stadium. We had a great time running around the field, getting yelled at by a grounds keeper only once, and taking some fun & playful images. After the field we ventured out into the NW pearl district then onto nibble cupcakes. It is kind of ridicules how much fun we had.

Here are a few of my many favorites…

Kayla & Johnny thanks for all of the fun ideas, and for being up for ANYTHING! I had so much fun working with you. My hubby also thanks you for the last stop of the cupcake shop, he loved the left overs. 😉 It was such a fun night. I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peek. I am so looking forward to your wedding next year! For now I would love to offer you a little blog challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this blog post I will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house.

So leave some love people!

FYI Bjorn & Dominique are super cute

To say that Bjorn and Dominique are super cute is kind of an understatement. To say we laughed while taking these photos would also be an understatement. We had so much fin hiking around Rocky Butte park, talking about weddings, families and dogs. We really did laugh a lot, I think Dominique wins the prize though for cutest giggle face.I could go on and on about how charming , funny and utterly in love these two are, but for now I will just leave you with the photographic proof.

Here are a few of my many favorites from our session..

Bjorn & Dominique thanks again for laughing at my cheesy jokes, and being so fun to work with. I am really, really looking forward to your wedding in just a few short weeks! I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek! For now I would love to offer you a blog comment special. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post i will throw in an 11×14 wall print on the house. So leave some love people!
