Mary, Steve & Three Goof Balls!

I love my job.

Through photography I get to meet amazing people, and this last session was a great example. Mary & Steve are super stylish, funny and so sweet.

I will be photographing Mary & Steve’s wedding later this summer. Instead of the traditional engagement session we had a couples/family session. It was such a pleasure to meet Mary, Steve and her three goofballs. The kids were so fun to capture, and man Mary & Steve brought the LOOK!

It was a great morning, and stellar session. I can’t wait for the wedding to do it all over again!

new sample time!

I spent a good chunk of today putting together an order for a few new studio samples.

Whew it is so hard to choose! I tried to get a little of every thing. 🙂

If you want to come in and see the BIG beautiful new samples in a few weeks let me know! I love showing off printed goods. 🙂

Hike it Baby!

A couple weeks back it was my pleasure to help run a mini workshop for a local Hike It Baby group. If you don’t know about them, HIB is a group of parents who is an organization dedicated to getting families together and out into nature. I have participated in a few of the local hikes, and they are always a great time!

This hike we talked a lot about photography fundamentals, and techniques to work with kids. I don’t know if it was helpful to the parents who came, but I certainly had fun!

A family session at the art museum!

Yes that is right, we did this session at the Portland Art Museum and it was amazing! You have to be a little brave to bring a two year old into an art museum, but oh my was it worth it! We had a grand time catching up, talking about art and babies. I am so looking forward to meeting little sister in just a few weeks!

D&R thanks for being up for something new! I had a great time capturing you guys yet again. Miss Sophia is such a little lady! See you soon for baby photos!

perfect timing

When I started talking to Melissa about our session this spring, we talked allot about timing. There are always so many things to consider.

Time of day, time of year, kid’s schedules etc. After a few false starts due to weather and schedules, we finally found some perfect timing. After days of rain we found sunshine, a beautiful setting, and an adorable boy.

I had a great time capturing these guys, and can not wait to show them the rest of the set.
