This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending some time with the lovely Britell family. We had a great time tromping around the George Fox Campus, warding off the rain and getting to know each other. If anything became clear to me over our time together it is that there is no shortage of love in this family. I walked away amazing at the strength of their love and with a huge smile on my face. Some families just make you feel good to be around, the Britell’s are one of those for sure. 🙂
Here are a few of my favorite’s from our session:
Meet Abby & Nick. I loved seeing the brother & sister bond. Makes me smile and think how my little boy & girl will love each other to bits like this someday.
Check out the whole adorable family. We had some real laughs out shooting. If I remember right I am standing in dog poop taking this one, classic. We laughed at my expense the rest of the day. 🙂
Abby clearly looks nothing like her dad! 🙂 They were super sweet together.
Mom & Nick are also super sweet together. That mother & son bond is always lovely, but theirs is just a beautiful thing.
Miss Abby and I also did some dancing. Check out her moves on the big stage!
and another of the whole family. I love the goofy smiles here!
One more of handsome Nick, such a sweet kiddo.
and the last shot in full honesty was not taken by me. Miss Abby is a photography lover and wanted to shoot some of her own. She full on art directed, set up, and shot this one on her own. Pretty good right!
Leslie & family thanks again for braving the weather and coming out to shoot Sunday. I had a great time with all of you! I hope you enjoy your peek, I know I have had fun editing them! I will have the whole set for you very soon! And of course you know I love a blog contest, if you all can get 25 comments on this little post a lovely brag book is in it for Mom & Dad on the house. So leave some love folks!

Absolutely love the pictures! Truly captures the love of this family!
I love these pictures!! My favorite is the one on the stump on the left. Although, I’d probably get the one on the right because of the goofy look on Abby’s face! I love getting personality shots of my kids!
What a great looking family. How nice!
Great Work Emily! Great Family too!
Love these pictures… lovely/beautiful family Leslie – great job Em!
Oh how I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures! Emily once again you have amazed me at how you capture their individual personality!!! I must admit they made me tear up! I love the emotion you captured on my sister’s face as she looks at her children! Amazing pics of Mike and Abby too, and love the “free spirit” pics of Abby, and the “hunky”high schooler pics of Nick!
I couldnt be more excited for Les and Mike! These TWO DESERVE it more than anyone I know!
I have to say, this have got to be the BEST gift I have ever had the blessing of giving anyone! thank you EMILY!!!
and I must say, I do ADORE the one Abs took at the end of Mike and Les, because those are such natural expressions for them! 🙂
Wow, you caught their spirit and beauty! Congratulations.
I love the family pics. And my fave of Nick and Abby at the top! Love it! BTW- I see the resemblance Michael.
Nick is growing into such a good looking gentleman. Abby has her long hair back and looks so beautiful. You look great Leslie, running is doing you good. And Michael, what can I say… you have a great family!
These photographs are incredible! Black and white photographs are my favorite, as they seem to bring out intricate details that would otherwise go unnoticed. I have three …
1. Nick and Abby on the bench – the love they have for each other just jumps out of the photo. (Love that the ‘extra’ prop is decidedly absent).
2. Leslie and Nick gazing into one each others eyes. The love between a mother and her son is priceless this exudes from the photograph.
3. Michael and Abby (photograph 1). Abby is just melting into her Daddy. Little girls need to adore their Daddy, and she clearly does.
Michael and Leslie, your family ROCK’S it out!!!!
Such beautiful pictures! What a handsome bunch! I love the twirling ones of Abby! Can’t wait to see the rest!
Wow! I knew you were a beautiful family but it was really captured in these shots!!
Love you guys 🙂
Great pics, Nick and Abby are growing up so fast.
Is it normal to cry when looking at someone else’s family pictures?
Your family melts my heart. I could never pick a favorite and would have to buy them all. I love seeing Abby dance and free and happy. I love them all. Thanks so much for sharing them with us!
Lovely, lovely, lovely!

Love the pictures!
nice pictures af a beatiful family…
Lovely family!
What awesome photography! Emily, not only your photography, but your great commentary show a rare talent for capturing the best and most beautiful attributes in people. The bonds of love between them all are so evident. Brother and sister, parent and child, husband and wife. What a classic shot of Nick and Leslie…I’ve seen it countless times…., and Abby really had to be in motion to be the real Abby.
I think Abby has a career ahead of her!! Nice pictures!
Beautiful work as usual! Love the family shots!
