pretty skies and lovely people make me happy

Is there anything better than spending time with people in love on an amazingly beautiful night in downtown Portland? I think not.

This past weekend I had the chance to hang out with the adorably lovely Catherine & Heather.  I am so looking forward to thier wedding  just a few short months away.

It was important to these two to capture some of their favorite spots in the city so we took quite the trek, but my was it worth it. We walked, we talked, we took some photos. It was all around a wonderful evening. 🙂

Here are some of my favorites so far:

Did I mention how adorable they are?

the Portland waterfront is just beautiful this time of year. We had to dodge rose festival crowds, but the north end was just lovely.

🙂

we also found some wonderful sculptors like this metal wall.

ok this cracks me up. Catherine was forever fixing Heathers hair.  I had to capture the cute picking going on.

I don’t know why but I love this one, the silhouette of the two women is just beautiful.

clearly there is allot of love here.

we also ran into a random flower show in Pioneer Courthouse Square. Portland’s living room was quite fragrant that evening!

Check out this cool “tree” in the park blocks.  Their wedding will have a tree theme so I thought it was fitting to capture this.

ahhh and the bubblers, so Heather LOVES bubblers. As I hear it if she walks by one she has to get a drink out of it. So it was mandatory we find one for our session.

there was much cuteness, and even some skipping.

this set might be my favorite, this wall is outside the art museum. Their smiles at each other in the second shot just make me happy.

and our last stop atop a parking garage to get the wonderful city in the last bits of sunset light. The city and these two were just glowing with beauty. 🙂

Catherine & Heather thanks again for trekking all over town with me. I had a wonderful time with the two of you. I can not wait to capture your wedding later on this summer. Of course for all my new clients I have to throw down the blog comment challenge. Catherine & Heather if you can get 25 people to comment on this post I will throw in an 11×14 on me. I think one of the cityscape portraits would look great large in print. 🙂 So leave some love people!
