Last month I had the privilege of participating in an auction put on by some ridiculously talented photographers.
The website “Switch Cities” is run by an eclectic group of wedding photographers from all over the world. A few of them met in a photographer’s forum I used to regularly check into so I have been a fan for a little while. They do some great modern scenic work that is really inspirational to this girl who has little to no talent for landscapes. Well last month the Switch Cities twitter stream was all a flutter about an auction for Haiti, it started small, but soon grew into an amazing fun raiser! The end result of two different auctions was over 4K as far as I understand. These folks did some great work, and I was lucky enough to have the winning bid for an absolutely beautiful 16 x 24 canvas of Seattle by the lovely and talented Gabe of Gabriel Boone Photography.
Check it out.
We had been searching for the perfect print for our new dining room for some time, and the color was dead on with the warm grey I picked out. And of course it was for a great cause!
Piece by piece will will get this new place put together!
