You might remember these two love birds from their engagement session back way back when it was sweater weather. Well weather wise they could not have picked an opposite day to get married! Christi and Brett’s August wedding was a warm one, but not just in temperature. Warm in character and definitely warm at heart. These two chose to have an intimate wedding with just close friends and family at their beautifully restored Salem home. Every little detail was beautifully attended to, the flowers, the food all of it. I had such a wonderful time with these two, they are such sweet hearts! The entire party was filled with nice people. When I work with wonderful people like this I am reminded what a great job I have. 🙂
On to the photos! Here are just a few of my favorites so far:
Christi’s dress was divine. I could have shot just the details of the dress alone for hours. 🙂
Christi was so cute, she clearly could not be outside helping set up the yard but she had to see what was going on. I busted her here checking out the progress of the big event set up via a little bathroom window.
One of the things she was peeking on was her amazing flowers. A good friend of hers (who also happens to be very talented event planner) took a flower arranging class and did these flowers her self, can you believe it! Mindy you are seriously talented girl!
Christi was so calm too, I just love how zen she was for these make up shots.
Brett was also pretty Zen about the whole big day. Even with a last moment tie ironing issue he just rolled with it.
Another detail I had fun with was the rings.
For the first look I really wanted to incorporate their beautiful home, so we set up right on the front steps. They were so sweet and giddy to see each other.
another over the top fun detail would have to be the gift that Christi gave Brett during the first look. I guess a long time inside joke of theirs was about him needing a secret decoder ring. So as a little wedding gift, that is exactly what she got him! Again I just love these two.
After our first look we headed down to the Oregon State Capital building for our portrait session. It was super hot so we tried to keep it short and sweet, but I think we got some really lovely shots of the lovely couple.
check out our dashing groom! Brett you clean up well for sure.
and our beautiful bride! Christi really truly, you looked amazing.
🙂
and like most couples I got the very best smiles when they were looking at each other!
and even in the blaizing sun we had to get one with the capital building and famouse “gold man” in the background.
I have so much more to show you all here soon. Like hey the actual wedding! I will have to leave it be for today and do a second post again soon to squeeze it all it. Christi & Brett, thanks again for having me be a part of your big day. I hope you had am amazing honeymoon! I will have lots more for you very very soon. To all the friends & family reading. Please do leave a comment here and I will send you the full gallery information when it is all ready!
xo em
gorgeous!! love the dress shots.
Keep an eye out for Johnny Law… There’s an APB for you ‘cuz you KILLED IT!
The details on the dress, suits and objects are all something that you do not normally see in most wedding shoots, I really enjoy that! I like to see the pictures of loving couples and happy families, but I love to see the patterns and details that make up those pictures as well! You did a wonderful job with this and I love looking at all your pictures! You inspire me to get out and take more pictures of all those little details in life!
