Sarah, Aaron & I met up this weekend and shot some fun romantic photos in the little farm town of St. Paul, Oregon. I have already posted one, but of course had to come back for a full peek. We had fun running around the town and being goofy, and taking some great photos if I do say so my self. I loved the old farm town setting of St. Paul and have been dying to take a couple out there. I tried my best to get my kacy jo style on and capture the rustic setting.
Full disclosure here, the handsome young man in the following photos is an extended family member of mine. Aaron is my brother-in-laws baby brother (say that 5 times fast!) and I have known him for years. He comes from a family of 7 very tall, very sweet boys that I just adore, so I am bias but I think he is going to make such a dashing groom. Sarah might also look familiar to some of my regular blog readers, she has been here before! She did a beautiful job modeling for me during our Sweet Nellies shoot earlier in the year. She is also a sweet heart, I can not wait to shoot their wedding this weekend! These two are just so lovely together, and great in front of the camera.
Here are a few of my favorites so far from our engagement session over the weekend:
they are just so sweet together.
St. Paul had so many cool run down buildings, I had been eyeing for a while. Sadly they were, really rustic aka messy and sometimes gross, thanks for being hardcore and tuffing it out guys!
we even found a pop of color, and check it out we even hooked up the Newberg HS colors. 😉
Aaron’s big smile here kills me! Their wedding is going to be a fun one for sure.
Sarah & Aaron were great about trusting me with the session. I LOVE that in a client. If you let your photographer have the room to be creative, you will end up with better results trust me on this one. I got a little artsy here. I have seen this done by other photographers before and had to try it. I think it turned out pretty cool.
One of the biggest reasons we were all the way out in St. Paul were these huge beautiful fields of crimson clover. I wanted to get them out in the field, but once we got close we noticed those cute little boxes were buzzing. Uh yeah bee hives hello! So we played it safe and took a few on the road in the beautiful sun bathed light.
and here… is my favorite. I love some many things about this photo. I love the light, the color, the way they are nestled together so perfectly. Even the way the sun gives Sarah a bit of a halo. Sometimes you take a photo, and even in the camera you just know you are going to love it, *sigh* yes these are the reasons I love my job. 🙂
Sarah & Aaron thank you so much for tromping around with me for a few hours to take some rad photos. I love you are as happy with them as I am. I can not WAIT until your wedding, hello tomorrow! It is going to be absolutely fabulous. I will see you both very soon, enjoy your last night before saying “I do”!
