I have known Liv for, what, over 10 years now. She is quite simply one of the most rocken ladies I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. Liv has worked in the domestic violence movement for many years and is such an inspiration. She is loud and animated, well like me! No wonder we get along so well. I just adore her, so when she told me she was engaged I knew I just had to shoot her wedding. When we finally met and I got to meet Alan our future groom I just adored him as well. These two are so sweet together, a perfect pair. They met over the classic game bocce ball, and so we had to make it a part of our session. We met in the Northwest Park blocks of Portland and spent some time in the neighborhood just laughing and taking photos.
Here are a few of my favorites so far:
I was laying in grass to get this one and was lucky not to be hit! Ahh the things I do for love. 😉
they are so sweet together.
Livvie I love your smile. And of course your rocking ink!
Liv & Alan are also avid kick ball players, part of a local team I believe. How fun is that!
sasssay!
I love me some run down buildings, just perfect to put a couple in love in front of!
such sweetness, I love how animated these two get around each other. This wedding is going to be so great to capture.
*sigh* cuteness.
Liv & Alan I had a great time bopping around PDX with you two. And thanks for the Thai Ice Tea! Yumm. I can not wait for your wedding just around the corner. I hope you love these images as much as I do. And because miss Liv is one of my #1 gold star blog commenters I just have to offer a comment challenge. If you can get 30 people to comment on this post I will hook you up with an 11×14 of your choice for your home. Personally I vote for the sassy kickball one, but I am bias! So get commenting kids!

You two are so freaking cute Liv!!! Great job Emily 🙂
I’ll be the first to comment if it means freebies for one of your clients. Great session!
I like the ink picture, you really captured Liv’s smile and Alan’s long eye lashes (that I never noticed before contacts) I like the last one too. See ya in August for some great family shots too.

Great series. I love all the green in the death-by-bocce perspective shots. Also… I’ve contacted the owner of the natty purple garage door and it’s being carted to Seattle for my personal use right this second.

Liv & Alan are so adorable – and Emily – You’ve captured that!! Great pics!!
I’m totally in love with the last pic in this series! But I think my fave is the series with the purple door – upper right pic especially – it looks like Alan is daring Liv to chomp on his nose! A-freakin-dorable!

I love the one sitting in the grass. They are all really beautiful, a good sign of what’s to come for wedding photos. I also love the forehead kiss… I think it’s one of the very best PDA’s around. =)
